Colour Elixir Velvet Matte Lipstick Lipstick (Caramel)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought the Max Factor Velvet Matte Lipstick in the 05 Nude shade about a month ago and I’m so glad I did. What a gorgeous colour! It goes on really well, feels very smooth and moisturising. What’s best is the Velvet Matte effect - with other lipsticks I find it goes on clumpy and doesn’t last long and this is the first lipstick I have found that doesn’t do that. It lasts for up to 6 hours before I need to reapply! I love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice lipstick. It's very smooth and moisturing when applying. Velvet is a really good description of how it feels when it's on. It's a nice colour not too dark but enough colour that it does look like you are wearing a bit of makeup. I have given 4 stars rather than 5 as it doesn't stay on the best and I found I needed to reapply quite often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Max Factor Velvet Mattes Lipstick is a nice lipstick to apply as it is soft and moisturising which is surprising as it has a matte finish. The colour is strong and looks good when applied. The actual lipstick is supplied in a black plastic casing though it still looks stylish, I personally like the casing as it is easy to open, the fact that it "clicks" closed with an audible sound assures me it will not open when in my cosmetic bag. I would happily purchase other lipsticks from this range as the colours are vibrant while still providing protection for my lips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the nude velvet Mattes Lipstick and I was a bit worried it would be drying my lips but I was pleasantly surprised. It's actually quite moisturising and the colour is a lovely nude but a bit darker than your usual nude which is nice because you could wear on a night out if you applied more or just on a normal day. I found it lasted for many hours (not all day, although you could see the colour on my lips at the end of the day most of it was gone). All in all a lovely lipstick and shade, very happy with my purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this maxfactor velvet matte lipstick in the shade Elixir which is absolutely gorgeous. It is a very vibrant red, red like a strawberry and is perfect for going into the autumn/winter/festive season. The product is a good size and applies easily. Once coat was enough to give a good coverage but I applied twice blotting the excess off in between. I wore this lipstick to dinner and my application that I had applied before leaving lasted my whole evening. Would recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The strength of colour in this lipstick is unbelievable, and it's absolutely gorgeous on! The shape of the lipstick allows it to give excellent shape and definition to lips when applied directly, and it glides on with ease. I always prefer my reds to have a slight bluey hue, which this one has. Unlike some other matt lippys, this one doesn't dry your lips out, mine felt quite nicely moisturised. The thing which stopped me giving this 5 stars, was that it transferred so easily! I was constantly having to rub my tongue over my teeth to remove excess lippy, and that was after blotting. It also transferred onto my cup each time I had a drink throughout the day. It did still manage to keep a pretty good olour on my lips despite this. Overall, excellent colour, feels lovely on, but too transferable for my liking.

Best lipstick I've ever bought...I have really dry skin and almost all lipsticks and lip pencils dry my lips out so they are chapped for days afterwards...even most lip balms have that effect. I've never been able to wear any kind of matte effect lipstick and I bought this one in Desert simply out of curiosity and I love it. It never makes my lips dry, it's just great. I also really like the colours and am going to buy Dusk next.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Max Factor - Velvet Mattes Lipstick was a lovely combined shade of pink and maroon which I loved. I loved the design and the outer casing of the lipstick. It smooth on the lips as well as glossy, the aroma of the lipstick was very light and not over powering. The lipstick lasts on the lips for more than 24 hours and can occasionally need a top up but it does last for long. It also can be removed easily with abit of water.
