Did not live up to expectations!

I am still trying to get acquainted with this version of Alien. I have different takes on Alien. All the major Alien fragrances and limited editions too, to include aged in oak barrels and another with leather. Loved them all! Always have received oodles of compliments and people asking what fragrance I am wearing. I no longer can smell the fragrance on me and don't even think others can either, so surprised when I am stopped and asked what I am wearing. But... I am having trouble adjusting to this Alien with Oud. No compliments received either, so wonder what others are smelling. Wish they would have had a smaller size, as I am not sure this is going to be a good fit.

Overpowering and unpleasant

I have been a fan of Alien since it's launch. I use the Parfum, Body cream, shower gel, eau de toilette and body lotion (not all at once of course). I treated myself the the Oud Majestueux when I read about it but I am gutted. It is very strong and does not smell like Alien to me. It is very overpowering and too strong in a very obvious and unpleasant way. It's like the fragrance has gone bad. I agree with another reviewer who said this. It cost a lot of money too. I will stick to the versions I know from now on. Not pleasant at all.

Alien Oud

My favourite perfume in this range. I love all the Alien Range, have had them all and love each and every one but this one is just different. Given as a gift it became my favourite smell, however I do not use as frequently as I’ve realised how much it is to replace and was using daily. I’ve been spoilt really, always get comments whenever I wear this from both men and woman, can’t wait to try the new one I’ve just spotted on here. Love your Alien products, work really well on my skin love love love the brand!!!

Oriental interpretation of Alien

I am an Alien devotee for life so I decided to give this limited edition of Alien Oud Majestueux a try. The package is beautiful and very high quality, as expected. It arrived very fast and beautifully wrapped. The perfume itself is a spicy - the first word that comes to mind is Turkish or Oriental - interpretation of Alien. It's definitely a heavier wear than Alien (which I think has more of a powdery/vanilla scent), but it also lingers a lot on you and on your clothes, so if you like heavier, strong scents, this is for you. I would say the base is still Alien but the high notes are definitely heavier Oriental, amber ones. I love it and have been wearing it every other day just because I like to change things up depending on how I feel. Lovely addition to my Mugler collection on my vanity!

I am so loving it

My first love is and always Womanity.When I recieved the sample of Alien Oud Majesteuex,I fell in love a second time.It is simply out of this world. It is classy,soft albeit strong enough to wear for a longer period. The fragrance is captivating and stands out. What I love about it is that it is unique just like womanity. You either wear Oud Majesteuex or not-no second guessing on other brands(none like it). I got loads of compliment.

My all time all time favorite Alien

Recently I got into an OCD mode and bought almost every version of Alien there is to be found since I love the original Alien so much. But alas I was disappointed by the overly cloying, nearly cheap smelling, powdery sweet wannabe's that smell a far cry from the original (i.e. Licquer, Absolue, and Taste of Fragrance)- yuck! Then I ordered this one and I may never wear anything else. It is actually better than the original quite possibly. It has this lovely woody, spicy, vanilla dry down that keeps me smelling my wrist over and over. It's a little more straight forward than Alien to me, if that makes sense....like all the beauty of Alien in one vein and the Oud in another that come together to make a simply heavenly and elegant fragrance that's both sophisticated and sexy. I believe this could even be worn by men and might try some out on my own guy.

Personal fragrance

I tried this on my way out at the airport, and my immediate reaction was too acidic and too strong and I thought no way was I going to buy it. However 20-30 mins later it had blended with my natural chemicals in my skin and it was truly divine, I had to buy it on my way back as I thought about it all holiday. Very happy I did, it's unusual and totally lovely. I would encourage buyers to wait that 30 mins before making judgement.

Very heavy and lacking the ethereal notes of Alien

As a loyal Alien lover I was excited to see Alien teamed with another favourite, Out. Unfortunately the Out overpowered the beautiful Jasmine and the fragrance combination made me question whether the perfume was slightly off. Very heavy and sour as opposed to fragrant. Not the floaty top notes that inspire the normal compliments and enquiries into the name of the fragrance I'm wearing.
