Tips more towards sweet Tonka than patchouli..

I bought this blindly because I love the smell of Patchouli so I was excited Lancome was creating a scent with it as a base. To me this smells pretty generic to anything you could smell out of a magazine sample. I previously tried lavendes trianon which was wayyy to sweet for me. I don't get much patchouli at all, it is semi sweet and I end up getting more notes of Tonka and benzoin. Kind of disappointed that it is named after a note it doesn't have much of. It is a nice scent, just not at all what I was looking for.

Maison Lancome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly the packaging was beautiful and I loved the gorgeous gold printed bottle. Looks expensive and high end. It is quite strong when you first spray this perfume but soon settles into an alluring sexy light fragrance associated with spring. Beautiful warm tones of peonies and rose with a light spicy note. Very feminine but I would have liked it to be a stronger fragrance that lasted longer. That said, I would recommend it and would give it as a gift.
