Matte means matte!
So, step 1 equalizing primer Mattifying formula (in the black tube) is amazing! I grabbed one for my kit since I do a lot of photography make up under lots of lights, it's beautiful and it works like a charm! I sampled it myself to try...I'm a step 1 nourishing primer kind of girl usually...it looked gorgeous all day, but I felt dry that night after cleansing. It truly works well! If you need to cut the shine - get it! You will NOT be disappointed!

Seriously matte
Normally when I try *matte* primers, they aren't as matte as I'd like. NOT this one! This primer is magical and truly leaves NO shine, the matte one is obviously my favorite....but I love the smoothing one as well! This primer just rocks

Best thing for Oily Skin (mattifying)
I use the step 1 mattifying primer for my own skin and I absolutely love it. I have used many other mattifying primers and wasted too much money until I discovered Step 1. I am a MUA and I'll be adding this and a few others to my kit.
